You are invited to visit Home Drive by clicking here, the History Truck’s online repository of short audio clips from oral histories in Philadelphia.  We are thrilled to release the first set of clips from our first exhibition, Manufacturing Fire, about the intersection of fire and activism in East Kensington.  These clips are snippets from longer conversations, fleeting bits of information which inform a full picture of this place separate from the larger themes discussed over our year working with people in the neighborhood.  Full versions will be available in Temple University Libraries Special Collections Research Center, and additional clips from Kensington are forthcoming.

This first release of carefully-curated and edited clips are marked with first name only to respect anonymity online while also showcasing the specific voices which heavily influenced the curatorial choices and trends explored in Manufacturing Fire.
